Summary: Frank and Gerard are happily married, or, they were until Gerard turned up on the doorstep with a baby. Will they cope, or will their marriage suffer?
Author's Notes: Hey! Sorry this has taken so long. Seriously. I've been away staying with Rachael for about a week, and well, we got a lot done. Up to halfway through chapter 7 of this is written. How have you all been? Missed me? Missed this? I'm going back to school tomorrow, so whenever I can I will type up and update. I promise. Also, sorry but in these first chapters we skip quite a lot of time, but all of the main plot takes place when Liam is 10 and onwards. Links to previous chapters are under the cut =D

Chapter 1

Frank's P.O.V
 
2 months later
 
 "Gerard, get in here quickly!"
 
 "What the hell? What happened?" God he looks flustered, what is wrong with him? All I did was call him.
 
 "He finally has your eyes!" Ow, why? Why slap me? What did I do?"
 
 "For fuck's sake Frank, you scared me! I thought something bad had happened!"
 
 "No, his eyes have just changed colour, that's all."
 
 "Finally he looks like I've spawned him. Now are you gonna make lunch or not?" And he just walks out, not gonna take Liam for me then Gerard? Nope, obviously not. I picked Liam up and put him on the sofa on my way to the kitchen. He won't be able to get off of there. He doesn't move much really, he's lazy like his dad.
 
10 minutes later
 
 "Gerard, lunch is read - He's gone!" I put Liam right there! He's 8 months old, how far can he get?
 
 "What?" Said Gerard, poking his head round the side of the armchair by the window.
 
 "Liam's gone! I put him right there and he's gone!" I shouted pointing at the sofa. Maybe the sofa ate him? Oh God, now I'm delusional.
 
 "Frank, he's right here. I'm having a cuddle with my son, is that such a crime?" asked Gerard, hilding him up as proof. He giggled and wriggled. The baby, not Gerard.
 
 "He's mocking me."
 
 "He's 8 months old. He doesn't know how to mock people."
 
 "He's mocking me. Anyway, now who's scaring who dumbass?"
 
  Gerard held a still giggling Liam out to me. "I'll swap a cuddle for my lunch?" I sighed, gave him the plate and took the baby. I sat on the sofa with him and started to take him in again. I can't believe how protective of him I've got. Gerard nearly gave me a heart attack just by moving him. Eight months ago, it would've been a different story. When he turned up on the doorstep with Liam, I was so close to throwing him out, but then I held Liam and I had that instant rush of love that mums talk about.  Everything's become about him, and protecting him and I know Gerard feels the same. It's twice as bad when we have to babysit Junior as well (Mikey's kid, we call him Junior).
 
 "Frank can I have him back now?"
 
 "Why?"
 
 "One he needs feeding and two, I want a hug." Cute. Strange and slightly pathetic but cute. Fatherhood has changed him, but for the better.
 
4 o'clock that afternoon
 
  Gerard's in the bedroom with Liam and I'm really bored.
 
 "Frank?" asked Gerard, coming out of the bedroom, "Liam's just said his first word, but I can't work out if it's Frank with a speech impediment or wank. Come listen." If it is wank, it wouldn't surprise me. In this strange environment it could have been anything. He's sat in his baby bouncer, saying 'Fwank' over and over again. I kissed Gerard on the cheek happily.
 
 "It's Frank with a speech impediment, but it's still Frank. Don't worry, our son's first word wasn't a swear word."
 
  He just huffed. "Well I feel loved. His first word was Frank."
