Frank's P.O.V

2 days later

Should I go and see him? I can't not really 'cause that's just impolite. I don't wanna face the feelings though, they hurt too much.
Before I could talk myself out of it, I got in the car and started driving to the art gallery. After nearly crashing the car three time because I was so nervous, I finally got there. No peeping-toms for me today, I just walked straight in, go me!

"Hi Frank. What are you doing here? If you're here for the painting, you're too late, your boys took it yesterday."

"No," I replied timidly, "I just to say goodbye really." Was it me or was there a hurt look on his face for a moment there?

"Oh right." He said shortly, the hurt turning to annoyance.

"I called my boss and for a couple more days off, but he said if I take them, he'll sack me. So I really have to leave today...like now." I said regretfully.

"That really sucks dude. He shouldn't put that pressure on you." Gerard said a little more softly than before.

"Walk me to my car?" I asked tentatively.

"If I must." He said jokingly. I only just noticed that he'd obviously been writing something, as he had a pen in his hand which he quickly shoved in his pocket before walking out with me.

"Dude, you drive a women's car." He said looking at my purple Renault Clio.

"I'm very proud of Bella. Leave her alone." I said indignantly.

"You name your car?" He said sceptically.

 "Yeah why? Don't you?"

"Dude, I don't have a car. This is a small city."

"My friend you've never lived. Can you even drive?"

"If I don't have a car, is it really likely that I'm gonna be able to drive?"

"You're doing the logic thing again. Stop it." I said shoving him lightly.

"Don't shove me you queen. I bruise like a peach." He said pouting.

"Who do you think you are? Audrey Hepburn?" I retaliated smiling.

"Come on then," he said, "I supose we better get you on your way."

"You sound like you're trying to get rid of me Gerard." I said putting my arm around his shoulders.
I got into my car and wound down the window.

"So Mr Way," I said, "you got an email address?"

"Of course, " he replied, "I'm not that much of a troglodyte."

"How we gonna do this? 'Cause I have no paper."

"Urm, give us your hand." What in marriage? Did I just think that? God I'm a pervert. Back to reality.

 "What for?"

"I have a pen." He said as if to a small child, "Your hand can be the paper." I pushed my hand out through the gap in the window.

"Stop it Gerard. That tickles." I giggled as he began to write on my hand. He just smirked at me, looking enragingly cute.

"Artdevil666? How cliche are you dude?" I said, raising my eyebrows.

"It's no worse than shortbutsweet755. If I hadn't known you were gay already, I would've guessed from that."
I just gave him an evil smile and started my engine, revving it to make him jump.

"I guess this is goodbye." He said, shielding his eyes from the sun.

"Yeah guess it is. See ya around dude." I said pulling out and starting to drive. I glanced at the email address on the back of my hand. Maybe life in Boston's about to get interesting.
